War Letters International

The IWLC does not solicit or accept monetary donations, but it does rely on the assistance of people in countries around the globe to help in the following ways:

• contact local archives, museums, and related institutions to determine if they have war letters in their collections and, if so, see if they are accepting donations of letters
• assist with the translation of war letters written in different languages
• work with veterans organizations to ask their members to send in copies of their wartime letters
• encourage the media to write about local efforts to preserve war letters
• simply spread the word to friends, family, and associates who might have letters to share

The IWLC also hopes to create links with museums, archives, libraries, veterans associations, and similar institutions looking for letters written in times of war.

Please note: The following list represents only a small percentage of various efforts looking for wartime correspondence. Before sending war letters, please contact them directly to confirm any specific requirements they might have for contributing materials.
